Budget Sync User Controls

ProfitSee provides unmatched flexibility and accommodations for your budgeting needs. Learn how to sync budgets on demand and choose which data to bring in.


In ProfitSee, you can build and manage budgets for your clients in three different ways or use a combination of all three. The first way, is you have a budget in your accounting package and it syncs in without you touching a button. The second way is for you to upload a spreadsheet or make changes in our budget data entry tab.

The third way is to choose to use our Budget Wizard, which will pick up on transactional history to forecast a budget in seconds. Our AI-driven formula can take days or even weeks out of the budgeting process and can be overwritten at any time. If you'd like to sync this new budget from your accounting software again, possibly after viewing the 3-Way Cashflow Forecast and adding a scenario, you can import the values to Xero and reset the sync so both are uniform. 


Reset The Budget Sync

1. To re-synchronize your budget from the source accounting software, go to the Budgeting Tab and select the Budget Data Entry section.

2. In the top right-hand corner, select the "Reset Budget" option to re-synchronize the budget contained within your source accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks Online.

3. After that, a window will pop up confirming you would like to replace the budget in ProfitSee and sync the budget in the source accounting software.
