Using Messaging in MyFinancials App

ProfitSee believes good communication between advisor and business owner is an important aspect of your clients' financial health.

The accountant and business owner can easily communicate via messaging while using the My Financials mobile app, which can help strengthen the adviser-client relationship by starting deeper conversations.

Business owners with access to either the basic or advanced version of the My Financials mobile app are able to quickly and easily send you questions from directly within the app. 

  1. In the Dashboard view of the mobile app, the business owner scrolls to "Quick Message to my Accountant".

  2. After filling in a subject line and message, the business owner clicks "Send":

  1. A notification of the message is delivered to your ProfitSee account and appears the next time you open the appropriate company file:

  1. As the advisor, you can view this message from your client in one of two places: the company file in your ProfitSee account, or by opening the client's view of the mobile app.

    To view the message from ProfitSee, select "Messages" from the left-hand navigation panel to bring up all messages then click on the new message to open it:

To view the message from the Client View of the mobile app, select "Messages" from the navigation panel to bring up all messages then click on the new message to open it:

Messages to the Business Owner

Just as the client can message you directly from their mobile app, you can quickly and easily respond to them. Any response you send, whether from your ProfitSee account or from the Client View of the mobile app, will be delivered directly to the client in their mobile app.

  1. Respond to your client via their mobile app in the same manner you would respond to an email from them.

    If viewing the message within ProfitSee, simply type your answer in the Response box then click "Respond" to send your message:

If viewing the message from the Client View of the mobile app, type your answer in the Response box then click"Send":

  1. The client receives a notification in the "Messages" section of their mobile app when your message is delivered, and clicks to bring up all messages:

  1. New messages appear pink with a "new" identifier. The business owner simply clicks on this new message to pull up your response to their inquiry:
