How to Generate Excel Reports

ProfitSee offers the ability to generate Excel reports in two different manners.

Generating an Excel Report from a Feature Window:

  1. Log into your ProfitSee account and open the company file for which you would like to generate a report.

  2. Open the feature you wish to generate a report from. For example, to generate a Balance Sheet report, click "Financials" on the left-hand navigation panel, then click "Balance Sheet" along the top of the section.

  3. Select your desired reporting date, a comparison date if desired, and click "Load Report" to update the report view:

4.  Click on the printer icon on the right hand side, then click "Generate Excel":

5.  The corresponding Excel file will automatically download. To open the report, go to your Downloads folder and double click on the report, or simply click on the downloaded file if it appears on your screen.

Generating an Excel Report from the Reports Tab:

 

  1. Log into your ProfitSee account and open the company file for which you would like to generate a report.

  2. Select "Reports" along the left-hand navigation panel and click on "Excel Report" along the top of the section.

  3. Select the desired "Reporting Year" from the drop down.

  4. Select the "Branding" from the drop down. For more information on creating your own branding, please see "Adding Your Branding, Logo, and Color Scheme".

  5. Select which features you want included in the Excel report by checking or unchecking the box next to the appropriate feature.

  6. Click on "Generate Excel File":

7.  To download the generated file, click the URL that appears, click the "Download generated file" button, or click the "Copy URL to Clipboard" button.

8.  Once downloaded, open the report by going to your Downloads folder and double clicking the Excel file, or simply click on the file if it appears on your screen.
