Syncing a QB File on a Terminal Server

Preparing the Terminal Server:
  1. Make sure the QuickBooks WebConnector has been downloaded.  You can find the download link from Intuit here

  2. Set Active Scripting on the terminal server to be enabled.

    Go to control panel -> network and internet -> internet options -> select the security tab -> select "Internet" zone -> click on "Custom level...". In the section "Scripting" the following changes must be made: set "Active scripting" to "Enable"

  3. Set Scripting of Java applets on the terminal server to be enabled.

    Go to control panel -> network and internet -> internet options -> select the security tab -> select "Internet" zone -> click on "Custom level...". In the section "Scripting" the following changes must be made: set "Scripting of Java applets" to "Enable".

To Sync a QuickBooks file into ProfitSee:
  1. In QuickBooks, open the company file you want to sync to ProfitSee and login as the Admin in Single User mode.

  2. Open your Internet Browser, and log in to your ProfitSee account. Click the 'Add a Company' button.

  3. Select 'QuickBooks File'. Enter the Company Name, select the Fiscal Start Month, then the Currency type and the ProfitSee License type of new company. Once finished, click the 'Create Company' button.

  4. Click 'Download WebConnector Sync Setting File'. The QuickBooks Web Connector file will save automatically in your computer’s Downloads folder. Click on the downloaded file to continue.

  5. In the pop-up that appears in QuickBooks, click 'OK' to authorize ProfitSee to sync with your QuickBooks data.


  6. Select 'Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running' and also check the box ‘Allow this application to access personal data that QuickBooks ask for. Then click ‘Continue', and ‘Done’ in the small pop-up box that will appear.


  7. In the QuickBooks Web Connector, enter your password used to log into your ProfitSee account in the blank box under the Password column. Then select ‘Yes’ to save your ProfitSee password.

  8. (Optional) If you would like your QuickBooks file company data to automatically sync to your ProfitSee account each day, check the box under the ‘Auto-Run' column. *Your QuickBooks file will then automatically sync to ProfitSee once each day.

  9. Click the box in front of the QuickBooks Company file you want to sync, then click the 'Update Selected' button. Your QuickBooks data will immediately begin syncing to ProfitSee.



Your QuickBooks data has successfully synced to ProfitSee once the Application Progress and Total Progress bars have reached 100%. *You can always view the date/time of the last successful sync for a company under the Status column of the company.
