Setting up ProfitSee MBA

ProfitSee MBA is designed specifically for small-business owners and the Trusted Business Advisors who serve them. ProfitSee MBA allows accountants to provide CFO-level services to their clients in minutes with easy to understand charts, graphs and financial insights. With real-time financial insights, accountants can provide their micro business clients what they really need to know right from their smartphone, tablet or desktop.

5 Steps for Setting up ProfitSee MBA

Step 1:   Sync a file into ProfitSee MBA

 

                 i.          Log into ProfitSee

                ii.          Click on the Add a Company button in the upper right hand corner of the screen (Alternatively, click on the "Add a Company" button in the bottom left hand corner)

               iii.          Select the ProfitSee MBA option and click Next 

               iv.          Select either QuickBooks Desktop or XERO button 


Sync in QuickBooks Desktop file, click here 


Sync in Xero file (Start from Step 5), click here

            

The sync will begin automatically and you will be redirected back to ProfitSee's website. Once there, an assistant opens and will guide you through the remaining steps.

Note: Any adjustments you make in ProfitSee WILL NOT affect your data in Xero.  This ensures that your accounting information stays safe and remains in compliance with your accounting practices. Every time you sync, we take your data from your accounting software and overwrite the values in ProfitSee. You can change this behavior in the Manage Company tab.


Step 2: Categorize the Chart of Accounts

It is critical to categorize the Chart of Accounts properly in ProfitSee.  ProfitSee performs Fiscal and Asset Management functions, not accounting and bookkeeping.  Therefore, the way in which we categorize accounts varies slightly.  For detailed instructions on categorizing your Chart of Accounts Click Here 


Step 3: Set Fiscal Year start month and Generate your Client’s (Business owner) budget


Step 4: Create your own Branding by adding a Name, Header, Logo and Banner

Note: You can also click on the Preferences to set-up or adjust your branding afterwards.  

This branding will be used to white-label the MBA app. The logo you use will appear on the left hand side, as well as on the profile page. The branding name will appear as your “Company Name” in the MBA Profile.


Note: This branding is not only used for MBA. It is also used for the client dashboard, for our Excel Reports and for the KPI Word Report!


 

Step 5.   Create a Client (Business owner) Login by adding an Email, Password and Branding

Note: You can also add new client afterwards by clicking “Manage Clients” on the left hand column and then clicking Add Client


 

Step 6.   Your MBA Setup is ready. You can now send your Micro Business Owner the login information you entered, and he can login under https://my-financials.com. **Note the white-labeled URL. Do not provide your business owner the myprofitsee.com login page!**
